Learning and Teaching in the Middle East
What is the cause?
Learning the local language is important in helping be a better teacher.
Learning English, in the face of hardship, is an alternate outlet for the people living in a war-torn region and have relief from their present circumstances.
Meeting everyday needs of the people is important; finding long-term solutions, even more so...Giving free and easy access to education is crucial; especially, to marginalized people groups.
Why should you help?
We can't forget that education is pivotal for the future progress of that region and the world.
What will I be doing?
I am going to learn the language of the local people group. I will be engaging with them by teaching English and Art Therapy as a volunteer. I will build friendships with children, and women; especially, those most susceptible to human trafficking.
